<br />AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it received the affirmative vote of
<br />at least five (5) members elected to Council otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the
<br />earliest period allowed by law, amending Ordinance 114-05E, adopted September 18, 2006 for
<br />the purpose of adding contracting authority for the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the
<br />Director of Public Works, the pirectorofLaw, the Director of Finance, and/or the Purchasing
<br />Manager to -enter into contracts for professional services, and to advertise for bids and enter into
<br />contracts for the purchase of repair maintenance and operating supplies, services and equipment
<br />as authorized hy the 2006 Appropriation Ordinance and the Administrative Code of the City of
<br />Lakewood with the lowest and best bidder or bidders or as otherwise provided by law
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, this COlfficil hy a vote of at least five (5) members elected thereto
<br />determines that this ordinance is an emergency measure, and that this ordinance shall take effect
<br />at the earliest date possible as set forth in ARTICLE III, SECTIONS 10 and 13 of the SECOND
<br />AMMENPED CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, and that it is necessary to provide
<br />for the usual daily operation of municipal departments in that delay could impair the City's
<br />ability to provide necessary services in a timely manner Nòw, therefore,
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO
<br />
<br />Section L That Ordinance No. 114-05E, adopted Septemher 18, 2006, currently
<br />reading as follows~
<br />
<br />Section I.That the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the Director of Public
<br />Works, the Director of Law, the Director of Finance, and/or the- Procurement
<br />Officer be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract or
<br />contracts for supplies, services and equipment with the lowest and best bidder or
<br />bidders or as otherwise provided by law, as foHows·
