Madigan, Seelie. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE to take effect immedi~y provided it received the affinnative vote of <br />at least five (5) members elected to Council otherwise, it shaII take effect and be in force after the <br />earliest period allowed by law. amending Ordinance 114-0SFedopted October 24. 2006 for the <br />purpose of adding contracting authority fur the Mayor (Director of Public Safety). the Director of <br />Public Wolks. the Director of Law. the Director ofFinanòe, ímdJor the Purchasing Manager to <br />enter into contracts for professional services. and to advertise for bids and enter into contracts for <br />the purchase of repair maintenance and operating supplies, services and equipment as authorized <br />by the 2006 Appropriation OrdInance and the Administrative Code of the Citr of Lake wood with <br />the lowest and best bidder or bidders or as otherwise provided by law. I <br /> <br />WHEREAS. this CoUlÌciI by å vote of at least five (5) members elected thereto <br />determines that this ordinance is an emergency measure, and that this ordinance shaII take effect <br />at the earliest date possible as set forth in ARTICLE m. SECI'lONS 10 and 13 of the SECOND <br />AMMENDED CHARTER. OF TIlE CITY OF LAIĆWOOD. and that it is necessæy to provide <br />fur the usual daily operation of municipal departments in that delay could impair the City" <br />ability to provide necessuy services in a timely manner.
