AN EMERGENCY oRDINANCE to establish additional appropriations for current exPeNses and other expenditures of the City of Lakewood, State of Ohio, for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2005. WHEREAS, this Council desires to establish additional appropriations~to specific funds budgeted in the initial appropriations f0r the fiscal year by Ordinance 6-05, an~J WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five (5) members elected thereto determines that this ordinance is an emergency measure, and that this ordinance shall take effect at the earliest date possible as set forth in ARTICLE Ill, SEC¥ONS 10 and 13 of the SECOND AMENDED CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LAKEWQOD, and that it is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public property, health and safety, and to provide for the usual daily operation of municipal departments in that this Ordinance is necessary to complete projects planned for the year 2004. Now Therefore, BE [T ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO Section 1. That Director or Finance is hereby authorized and director to increase/decrease apprepriations in the following funds by the amount Stated b~low' Bureau of Justice Grant Fund $3 Political Subdivision Fund ($5,000) Computer Maintenance Fund ($2,000) Court Probation Services $104 HOME Investment Partnerships Program Fund ($1,172,974) Office on Aging IIIB Fund $100,000 Office on Aging IllC Fund $50,000 Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grant Fund $457 Help to Others Fund ($10,124) Child and Adult Care Food Program ($14,167) Bend Retirement Fund $100,000 TIF Bond Retirement Fund $8,252 Capital Projects Fund ($550,000) Wastewater Collection Fund ($300,000) Winterhurst Fund ($168,321 ) Hospitalization Fund ($335,000) Section 2 That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to draw checks upon the City depositories for the amounts appropriated in this ordinance Whenever claim~ are Presented~ properly aPproved by the head of the department for which the indebtedness is incurred, providing the President of Council or his/her designees shall approve all claims of the City Ceuncil Section 3, In 8ccordance with Article ill, Section 12; of the Charter of the City of Lakewood, Council hereby determines that the manner of giving notice of the passage: of this ordinance is to be by posting copies hereof for a pedod of not less than fifteen (15) days in not les~ than five (5) of the most public places in the City, which places have been determined by Council in Ordinance No. 55-59.
