<br />PLACED ON 1ST READING AND REFERRED TO <br />THE PUBLIC SAFETY COMMmEE 12/19/05, <br />2ND READING 113/06. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 119-05 <br /> <br />BY: Antonio, Butler, Demro, <br />Dever, Fitzgerald, Madigan, <br />Seelie. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE to amend section 313.10, Prohibited Turns on Red Signals, of <br />the Lakewood Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood for the purpose of including <br />the intersection of Lake and Belle Avenue on all four approaches between the hours of <br />7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the opening of Lakewood Catholic Academy has created more traffic <br />in that general area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, further restrictions on right turns on red are necessary to keep this <br />area safe for children attending classes at Lakewood Catholic Academy. Now therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br />Section 1. That section 313.10 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of <br />Lakewood currently reading as follow: <br /> <br />313.10 PROHIBITED TURNS ON RED SIGNALS. <br /> <br />(a) Pursuant to the provisions of Section 313.03(c)(5), it is hereby <br />determined that the following intersections are used by a substantlai <br />number of school children and are a hazard to such schooi children and, <br />therefore, a right turn against a steady red signai is hereby prohibited <br />between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at <br />the following intersections, upon the posting and installation of the proper <br />signs giving notice thereof: <br />(1) Ciifton Boulevard. <br />A. Webb Road all directions except south bound <br />B. Bunts Road north and east bound <br />C. Nicholson Avenue all four directions <br />D. Summit Avenue all four directions <br />E. Whippoorwill Avenue south bound only <br />F. Clifton Road south bound only <br />G. Geil Avenue south and east bound <br />(2) Detroit Avenue. <br />A. Waterbury Road all four directions <br />B. Eimwoodl Andrews all four directions <br />C. Bonnieview Avenue north and south bound <br />D. Webb Road south bound only <br />E. Granger Avenue south bound only <br />F. Cohassett Avenue north and east bound <br />G. Cove Avenue south and west bound <br />H. West Clifton Boulevard all four directions <br />1. Larchmont/Granger east and west bound <br />(3) Franklin Boulevard. <br />A. Bunts Road all four directions <br />B. Lakewood High School - North Parking Lot Drive south and west <br />bound <br />C.
