<br />3.05 Whenever possibie, one member shaii aiso be a member of the <br />Lakewood Chamber of Commerce. <br /> <br />3.06 Whenever possible, one member shaii also be a member of the <br />Lakewood Ministerial Association. <br /> <br />Section 4. COMPENSATION. <br /> <br />Commission members shall receive no compensation for their services. <br /> <br />Section 5. ADVISORY. <br /> <br />The Lakewood Community Relations Advisory Commission is to be advisory <br />to and shall coordinate its activities with the Mayor, Lakewood City Council, <br />Planning Commission, and any other such boards, commissions, agencies, or <br />departments of the City of Lakewood, Ohio. The Lakewood Community <br />Relations Advisory Commission is also authorized to undertake community <br />reiations tasks as requested by the Mayor and City Council. <br /> <br />Section 6. CHAIRPERSON. <br /> <br />The appointed commission members shaii designate the Chairperson of the <br />commission. <br /> <br />Section 7. MISSION STATEMENT; BYLAWS AND GENERAL <br />RULES OF OPERATION. <br /> <br />The Lakewood Community Relations Commission shall be authorized to adopt <br />its own mission statement, bylaws and general rules of operation! which shall <br />be consistent with this chapter, all other ordinances and the Amended <br />Charter of the City and the laws of the State. Lakewood City Councii shail <br />ratify the bylaws and general rules of operations of the Lakewood Community <br />Relations Advisory Commission. The mission statement of the Lakewood <br />Community Relations Advisory Commission shaii be consistent with Article I <br />of this Ordinance. <br /> <br />Section 8. ASSISTANCE FROM OFFICE OF COMMUNITY <br />RELATIONS. <br /> <br />The Lakewood Community Relations Advisory Commission shall be authorized <br />to cali upon the Office of Community Reiations for assistance in carrying out <br />the purposes set forth in this chapter. Similar to other boards and <br />commissions, the Lakewood Community Relations Advisory Commission does <br />not have an annual budget. Any anticipated expenditures shail first be <br />submitted to Lakewood City Council for approval and funding. <br /> <br />Section 9. PUBLIC RECORDS; REPORTING DUTIES. <br /> <br />The Lakewood Community Reiatlons Advisory Commission shail keep records <br />of its meetings and activities and shail submit a semi-annuai report at a <br />regulariy scheduied meeting of Lakewood City Council. Minutes of each <br />meeting shali aiso be forwarded to the Mayor and City CounciL <br /> <br />Section 10. SEVERANCE CLAUSE <br /> <br />Should any section, paragraph, clause¡ or phrase of this Ordinance be <br />declared unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the <br />remainder of said Ordinance shail not be affected thereby, and shail remain <br />in fuil force and effect. <br /> <br />Section 11. It is found and determined that ali formal actions of this <br />Council concerning and relating to the passage of this Ordinance were <br />adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that ail such deiiberations of <br />
