(a) Daily Cleansinq. At least once each day, when a family swimming pool is <br />in use, the bottOm of each swimming pool shall be completely cleansed and all <br />sediment and other foreign matter removed by vacuum cleaner or other equally <br />efficient means, Tf an overflow trough is provided it shall be completely cleansed and all <br />sediment and foreign matter removed therefrom. <br /> <br /> (b) Weekly Cleansinq. At least once each seven days the sides of each family <br />swimming pool and the ove~lOw trough shall be thoroughly scrubbed and cleaned; <br />each filter shall be thoroughly back-washed and each hair and lint catcher completely <br />emptied and thoroughly cleaned. <br /> <br /> (c) General Requirements. All swimming pool facilities, including grounds <br />used in connection therewith, shall be kept clean and in a Sanitary condition and <br />maintained free from garbage, trash and other refuse. <br /> <br /> XXXX,17 FAMILY POOLS: WATER QUALITY and CHLORINATION. <br /> The bacterial quality and chlorination of water in the pool shall be maintained in <br />accordance with the requirements of Ohio Administrative Code §3701-31-07. The <br />Commissioner of Health may require samples to be taken and Submitted for test <br />whenever he considers it necessary for the safe operation of any pool. <br /> <br />XXXX, 18 FAMILY WAD~'NG POOLS. <br />(a) Portable Wadinq Pools. <br /> (1) Material. The water-containing surface of a portable wading pool <br /> shall be impervious and provide a tight tank, smooth and easily <br /> cleaned. <br /> (2) Water SUDDIv. Water for the pool shall be from the City water <br /> supply. <br /> (3) Cleanliness of pool and environs. All family Wading pools shall be <br /> drained after each day of use and at all times when not in use. <br /> Before refilling the pool, it shall be thoroughly cleansed and all <br /> sediment and other foreign matter removed. <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />Permanent Wadino Pools. <br />(1) IVlaterials. The water-containing surface of a permanent wading <br /> pool Shall be light in color, impervious and provide a tight tank, <br /> smooth and easily cleaned. Sand or dirt bottoms are prohibited. <br />(2) Water suoolv and ouUet~. Each permanent wading pool shall be <br /> provided With a trapped outlet to the storm drain. Water for the <br /> pool Shall be from the City water sUpply. <br />(3) Walks. Each pool shall be provided with a hard-surfaced walk at <br />least four feet in width completely Surrounding the poOl and <br />drained away from the pool, except where a fence or wall is placed <br />closer to the pool than four feet, the Width of the Walk may be <br />proportionately reduced. <br />(4) Cleanliness of oool and environs. All family wading pools shall be <br /> clean and sanitary at all times. <br /> <br /> XXXX. 19 ENFORCEMENT, <br /> No person, firm or corporation owning or having the possession, charge or <br />management of any family swimming pool, family wading pool, or other artificial body <br />of water shall permit the same to be constructed, used or maintained unless all the <br />provisions of this chapter and all other laws and ordinances relative to any family <br />swimming pools, family wading pools, or other artificial bodies of water are complied <br />with. <br /> <br /> 172:]..32 ACCESS EQUZPMENT, <br /> All access ladders and steps not permanently affixed shall be removed from <br />family swimming pools at the close of the swimming season, <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this <br />Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in <br />an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council <br />and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings <br />open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section3.
