Section 1. That the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the Director <br />of Public Works, the Director of Law, the Director of Finance, and/or the <br />Procurement Officer be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter <br />into a contract or contracts for supplies, services and equ!pment with the <br />lowest and best bidder or bidders or as otherwise provided by law, as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Window Replacement 300,000 <br />Ultraviolet Lamp Replacement 25,000 <br />Return Activated Sludge Pumps 75,000 <br />Filter Presses Installation 200,000 <br />Primary Tank Gate/Valve Actuators 26,000 <br />Thickener Tank Drive Units 52,000 <br />Electrical Co-Generation Feasibility Study 51,000 <br />Clean Sludge/Grit Out Digester/Sludge Tanks 101,766 <br />Security Monitoring System 50,000 <br />Thermophilic Digestion Upgrade 1,200,000 <br />Emergency Generator 348,234 <br /> <br /> Section 2. That contracts for supplies, services and equipment in <br />excess of $7,500 and for professional services in excess of $5,000 shall <br />not be awarded except as approved herein or further approved by <br />Resolution of Council. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized and directe~i to <br />enter into contracts as set forth above in amounts not to exceed the specified amounts <br />without further action from Council; and to enter ir~to contracts in excess of specified <br />amounts only upon consent of Council evidenced by adoption of a resolution specifying <br />the authorized amount. <br /> <br /> Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br />concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open <br />meeting-of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its <br />committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in <br />compliance with all legal requirements~ <br /> <br /> Section 4. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the usual daily operation of the City for the reasons set forth and defined <br />in the preamble to this ordinance, and provided it receives the affirmative vote bf at <br />least five (5) of its members elected to Council, this ordinance shall take effect and be <br />in force immediately upon its adoption by the Council and approval by the Mayor <br />otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law. <br /> <br />AdoPted: <br /> <br />APproved: <br /> <br />President of Council <br /> <br />Clerk of (~ncil <br /> <br />Mayor (,/ "~'~ <br /> <br /> <br />
