<br /> AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it receives the affirmative vote of at least
<br /> five (5) members elected to Council otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the
<br /> earliest period allowed by law, mneoding Ordinance 74-06, adopted December 18, 2006 for the
<br /> purpose of adding and deleting contracting authority for the Mayor (Director of Public Safety),
<br /> the Director of Public Works~ the Director of Law, the Director of Findnce, arid/or the Purchasing
<br /> Manager to enter into contri~cts for professional services, and to advertise for bids and enter into
<br /> contracts for the purchase of repair maintenance m~d operating supplies, services and equipment
<br /> as authorized by the 2007 Appropriation Ordinance and the Administrative Code of the City of
<br /> Lakewood with the lowest end best bidder or bidders or as otherwise provided by law.
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five (5) members elected thereto determines that
<br /> this ordinance is an emergency measure, and that tiffs ordinance shall take effect at the earliest
<br /> date possible as set forth in ARTICLE III, SECTIONS 10 and 13 of the SECOND AMMENDED
<br /> CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, end that it is necessary to provide for the usual
<br /> dally operation of municipal departments in that delay could impair the City's ability to provide
<br /> necessary services in a timely manner, now, therefore,
<br />
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO
