<br />shall be amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sectión 1. That the City of Lakewood hereby declares that there exists <br />sufficient and substantiai nonproductive land within its boundaries which is of such <br />nature and extent as to necessitate the implementation of a Land Reutilization Program <br />to foster either the return of such nonproductive land to tax revenue generating status <br />or the devotion thereof to pubiic use. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the City of Lakewood hereby adopts and impiements the <br />procedures set forth in Chapter 5722 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br /> <br />Section 3. That in addition tó the methods of acquisition of land set forth in <br />Chapter 5722 of the Ohio Revised COde, the City may also acquire land for the Land <br />Reutilization Program by other means, including, but not iimited to receipt of property <br />through foreclosure or other forfeiture proceedings initiated by the U. S. Department of <br />Housing and Urban Development. Acquisition of property through means other than <br />those stated above shall be subject to Chapter 111 of the Lakewood Codified <br />Ordinances. <br /> <br />Section 4. That the Department of Planning and Development shall administer <br />the Land Reutilization Program. <br /> <br />Section 5. That the Director of Piahning and Development shall implement <br />poiicies and procedures, as approved by the Director of Law, that are consistent with <br />this Ordinance and Chapter 5722 of the Ohio Revised Code for the disposition of Land <br />heid in the City's Land Reutilization Program (Land Bank). <br /> <br />Section 6. That the Clerk of Council is hereby directed to send certified copies <br />of this Ordinance to the county Auditor, county Treasurer, and County ProSecutor as <br />provided in Section 5722.02 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br /> <br />Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br />concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open <br />meeting of this Council, and that all sUch deliberations of this Council and of any of its <br />committees that resulted in such formai action were in meetings open to the pubiic in <br />compliance with all legal reqwements. <br /> <br />l <br />r <br />
