AGR. EEMENT <br />BETWEEN THE CITIES OF BAY VILLAGE, LAKEWOOD, ROCKY RIVER, <br />CLEVELAND, FAIRVIEW PARK, NORTH OLMSTED, AND WESTLAKE, <br />FOR THE INTERCHANGE OF <br /> BOMB SQUAD SERVICES AND/OR SWAT UNIT SERVICES <br /> <br /> This agreement is made and entered into this __day of <br />20 , by and between the legislative authority of the cities of Bay Village, <br />Lakewood, Rocky River, Cleveland, Fairview Park, North Olmsted and Westlake <br />under the authority of Section 737.04 of the Ohio Revised Code. In addition, to <br />the extent that the governing bodies of any of those municipal corporations have <br />established or establish a regional council known as the Westshore Enforcement <br />Bureau ("WEB"), under the authority of Chapter 167 of the Revised Code, this <br />agreement also between the WEB and the munic~'palities named in this <br />agreement. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS. in order to obtain additional police protection for the protection <br />of life, limb and property and the reduction of crime and to allow its police officers <br />to work in multijurisdictional task forces for that purpose, it is the desire of the <br />parties to this agreement to provide for and join in providing for mutual <br />assistance and the intercnange of.their respective personnel and equipment; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the parties to this agreement desire to provide the additional <br />police protection under such terms as are agreed upon in this agreement; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, each of the representative of the parties to this agreement is <br />authorized to execute this agreement under the proper legislative authority of <br />their respective Councils, <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the parties to this agreement, each in consideration <br />of the mutual promises and obligations in this agreement agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. Each of the parties agrees to respond to an emergency in the other <br />party's municipal corporation, including responding to an emergency at <br />Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, when requested by the Mayor or <br />Director of Public Safety, or Chief of Police of that other party.
