ORDINANCE NO: 54-07 BY: A~tonio, Butler, Demro, Madigan, Seelie. AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it receives the affirmative vote of at least five (5) members elected to Council otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law to establish additional appropriations fQr current expenses and other expenditures of the City of Lakewood, State of Ohio, for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2007, WHEREAS, this Council desires to establish additional appropriations to specific funds budgeted in the appropriations for the fiscal year by Ordinance 23-07A, and WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five members elected thereto determines that this ordinance is an emergency measure, and that this ordinance shall take effect at the earliest date possible as set forth in ARTICLE III, SEC32ONS 10 and 13 of the SECOND AMENDED CHARTER OF THE C1TY OF LAKEWOOD, and that it is necessary to provide for the usual daily operation of the City in that the City must record ali financial transactions within the appropriate fiscal period. Now therefore, BE iT ORDAINED BY THE Ci~ OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO SectiOn 1. That Director or Finance is hereby authorized to increase/(decrease) appropriations to provide for the personal services and other appropriations of the City of Lakewood for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2007, in the following funds by the amounts stated below: Community Development Block Grant Fund Personal Services Other 0 161,498 Emergency Shelter Grant Fund Personal Services 0 Other 53,121 Section 3. That the Director of Finance be and is hereby authorized to draw checks upon the City depository's for the amounts appropriated in this ordinance whenever claims are presented, properly approved by the head of the department for which the indebtedness is incurred. Section 4. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary to provide for the usual daily operation of the City for the reasons set forth and defined in the preamble to this ordinance, and provided it receives the affirmative vote of at least five of its members elected to Council, this ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption by the Council and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law.
