ORDINANCE N0. ss-osA <br />BY: Antonio, Bullock, Butler, Dever, <br />Madigan, Powers, Summers. <br />AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it received the <br />affirmative vote of at least five (5) members elected to Council otherwise, it shall <br />take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law provide for <br />creating positions grid rates of pay for full-time and certain part-time annual <br />salaried employees and hourly rate employees not covered by a collective <br />bargaining agreement in the several departments, divisions and offices of the <br />City of Lakewood, including the Chief of Fire, Chief of Police and Civil Service <br />Commissioners effective August 25, 2008. <br />WHEREAS, upon adoption of the Local 1043 and Ohio Council 8, American <br />Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (Administrative Employees) <br />Union Agreement by Council on August 25, 2008, the position of Human <br />Resource Specialist was removed from the union agreement; and <br />WHEREAS, the positions df Tax Auditor and Accounting Supervisor were <br />removed from the Union Contract; and <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary to update the salary ordinance to provide for <br />those changes; and <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary to create the position of Part-time Tax Auditor; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five members elected thereto <br />determines that this ordinance is an emergency measure, and that this ordinance <br />shall take effect at the earliest date possible as set forth in ARTICLE III, <br />SECTIONS 10 and 12 of the SECOND AMENDED CHARTER OF THE CITY OF <br />L4KEWOOD, and that it is necessary to provide for the usual daily operation of <br />the City in that in the interest of public, service, welfare and safety in that these <br />changes took effect by virtue of the approval of the union agreement by Council <br />on August 25, 2008. Now, therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br />Sectidn 1. Classifications, rates of pay, pay grades, levels and <br />certain other supplemental compensation for non-probationary full-time <br />
