All lighting and wiring shall be in accordance with the National <br />Electrical Code and all fixtures and equipment shall be "OL" or equivalently approved. <br />1722.15 BATHERS WITH COMMUNICABLE DISEASES.. <br />No person having any communicable skin disease, sore or iMamed eyes, cold, nasal or ear discharge, or any other <br />communicable disease, shall use or be permitted to use any swimming pool. The person in charge of any swimming pool shall exclude <br />therefrom any person suspected of having any such ailment. <br />1722..16 CLEANLINESS OR POOL AND ENVIRONS. <br />(a) Daily Cleansine A[ leas[ once each day, when a family swimming pool is in use, the bottom of each swimming pool <br />shalt be completely cleansed and all sediment and other foreign matter removed by vacuum cleaner or other equally efficient means. If <br />an overflow hough is provided it shall be completely cleansed and all sediment and foreign matter removed therefrom. <br />(b) Weekly Cleansine At least once each seven days the sides of each family swimming pool and the overflow trough <br />shall be thoroughly scrubbed and cleaned; each filter shall be thoroughly back~washed and each ha'v and lint catcher completely emptied <br />and thoroughly cleaned. <br />(e) General Requirements All swimming pool facilities, including grounds used in conneotion therewith, shall be kept <br />clean and in a sanitary condition and maintained free from garbage, trash and other refuse. <br />1722.17 WATER QUALITY AND CHLORINATION. <br />The bacterial quality and chlorination of water in the pool shall be maintained in accordance with the requirements of Ohio <br />Administrative Code §370131-07. The Commissioner of Health may require samples to be taken and submitted fur test whenever he <br />wnsiders it necessary for the safe operation of any pool. <br />1722.18 FAMH,Y WADING POOLS. <br />(a) Portable Wadin Pg Dols <br />(1) Material. The water-containing surface of a portable wading pool shall be impervious and provide a tight <br />tank, smooth and easily cleaned. <br />(2) Water suooly Water for the pool shall be from the City water supply. <br />(3) Cleanliness of Wool and environs All family wading pools shall be drained after each day of use and at all <br />times when not in use. Before refilling the pool, I[ shall be thoroughly cleansed and all sediment and other <br />foreign matter removed, <br />(b) Permanent Wadive POOls <br />(1) Materials. The water-oontaining smrfaca of a permanent wading pool shall be light iv coloS Impervious and <br />provide a tight [only smooth and easily cleaned. Sand or dirt bottoms are prohibited. <br />(2) Water suoply and outlets Each permanent wading pool shall be provided with a trapped outlet to the <br />storm drain Water for the pool shall be from the City water supply. <br />(3) Walks. Each pool shall be provided with ahard-surfaced walk at least four feet in width completely <br />surrounding the pool and drained away from the pool, except where a fence or wall is placed closer to the <br />pool than four fees the width of the walk may be proportionately reduced. <br />(4) Cleanline f 1 d All family wading pools shall be clean and sanitary at all times. <br />1722.19 ENFORCEMENT. <br />No person, firm or corporation owning or having the possession, charge or management of any family swimming pool, family <br />wading pool, or other artificial body of water shall permit the same to be constructed, used or maintained unless all the provisions ofthis <br />chapter and all other laws and ordinances relaiive to any family swimming pools, family wading pools, or other artificial bodies of water <br />are complied with. <br />1722.20 ACCE99 EQUIPMENT. <br />All access ladders and steps not permanently affixed shall be removed from family swimming pools at the close of the <br />swimming season. <br />CHAPTER 1723 <br />Nursing Homes and Rest Homes <br />1723.01 DUTIES OF THE COMMISSIONER OF HEALTH. <br />The Commissioner of Health of the Department of Public Safety shall take appropriate acfion through employees of his <br />Division or such members of the Department of Public of Safety as may be assigned to his assistance, to ascertain that all nursing and <br />rest homes as defined in Ohio R.C. 3721.01, within the City are duly licensed and operating in compliance with applicable provisions of <br />law and ordinance. <br />1723.02 PROHIBITED ACTS. <br />(a) No person, firm, association or corporation shall open, conduct, manage or maintain a nursing and rest home as <br />defined in Ohio R.C. 3721 Ot, unless such nursing or rest home is in compliance with all applicable provisions of Ohio R.C. Ch. 3721 <br />(b) No person, firm, association or corporation operating managing or maintaining a nursing or rest home as defined in <br />Ohio R.C. 3721.01 shall obstruct the entrance of any City officer duly authorized to make inspections of such home or hinder such <br />officer in the performance of duty <br />1723.99 PENALTY. <br />Whoever violates any provision ofthis chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degee. If the offender has been <br />previously convicted of a violation of this chapter, Bach second or subsequent offense shall constitute a misdemeanor of the second <br />degree. <br />CHAPTER 1725 <br />Alcoholic Beverage Vendors <br />
