ORDINANCE N0. 18-09B gy; Antonio, Bullock, Butler, Dever, <br />Madigan,. Summers. <br />AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it received the <br />affirmative vote of at least five (5) members elected to Council otherwise, it shall <br />take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law provide for <br />creating positions and rates of pay for full-time and certain part-time annual <br />salaried employees and hourly rate employees not covered by a collective <br />bargaining agreement in the several departments, divisions and offices of the <br />City of Lakewood, including the Chief of Fire, Chief of Police and Civil Service <br />Commissioners. <br />WHEREAS, the Civil Service Commission has approved the creation of a <br />new position called Human Resource Associate; and <br />WHEREAS, this position is recommended to be placed in Pay Grade 27; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five members elected thereto <br />determines that this ordinance is an emergency measure, and that this ordinance <br />shall .take effect at the earliest date possible as set forth in ARTICLE III, <br />SECTIONS 10 and 12 of the SECOND AMENDED CHARTER OF THE CITY OF <br />LAKEWOOD, and that it is necessary to provide for the usual daily operation of <br />the City in that it is necessary to increase the cap for these salary bands in order <br />to accommodate transfers approved by the Civil Service Commission. Now, <br />therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1. Classifications, rates of pay, pay grades, levels and <br />certain other supplemental compensation for non-probationary full-time <br />and certain part-time, annual salaried and hourly rate employees not <br />covered by a collective bargaining agreement are hereby authorized, <br />effective immediately, in the several departments, divisions and offices of <br />the City of Lakewood, as modified herein, and with the approval of the <br />Department Director, Director of Finance, Director Human Resources and <br />Mayor as follows: <br />Section 2.
