PLEASE SUBSTITUTE FOR ORDINANCE NO. 81-09 <br />PLACED ON 15T READING & <br />REFERRED TO THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE <br />11/16/09, 21°D READING 12/7/09. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 81-09 <br />BY: ~€Ebnio, Bullock, Butler, Dever, <br />Madigan, Powers, Summers <br />AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it receives the affirmative vote of <br />at least five (5) members elected to Council otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the <br />earliest period allowed by law authorizing the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the Director of <br />Public Works, the Director of Law, the Director of Finance, and/or the Purchasing Manager to <br />enter into service contracts in accordance with the Administrative Code of the City of Lakewood <br />for the Division of Planning & Development in accordance with the Administrative Code of the <br />City of Lakewood, contracts not to exceed the specified amounts shown without separate <br />resolution of Council. <br />WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five (5) members elected thereto <br />determines that this ordinance is an emergency measure, and that this ordinance shall take effect <br />at the earliest date possible as set forth in ARTICLE III, SECTIONS 10 and 13 of the SECOND <br />AMMENDED CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, and that it is necessary to provide <br />for the usual daily operation of municipal departments in that delay could impair the City's <br />ability to provide necessary services in a timely manner. Now, therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br />Section 1. That the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the. Director of Public Works, the <br />Director of Law, the Director of Finance, and/or the Purchasing Manager is hereby authorized <br />and directed to enter into contracts in accordance with the Administrative Code of the City of <br />Lakewood, for the Division of Planning & Development, contracts not to exceed the specified <br />amounts shown, except as hereinafter provided: <br />Service Contracts <br />Beck Center -Art Education Scholarships <br />Camp Can Do <br />Cleveland Mediation Center -Homeless Prevention <br />Cleveland Restoration Society <br />DVC -Shelter Services <br />Early Childhood Scholarships <br />Fair Housing <br />Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority <br />HOME Investment Program <br />$4,300,000 <br />.S J <br />
