PLACED ON !ST READING & REFERRED TO THE PUBLIC <br />WORKS COMMITTEE 2/16/10, 2ND READING 3/1/10. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 81-09A BY: Antonio, Bullock, Butler, <br />Madigan, Powers, Smith, Summers. <br />AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it receives the affirmative vote of <br />at least five (5) members elected to Council otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the <br />earliest period allowed by law amending Ordinance 81-09, adopted December 21, 2009 for the <br />purpose of adding the Madison Ave. TLCI Planning Grant ,authorizing the Mayor (Director of <br />Public Safety), the Director of Public Works, the Director of Law, the Director of Finance, and/or <br />the Purchasing Manager to enter into service contracts in accordance with the Administrative <br />Code of the City of Lakewood for the Division of Planning & Development in accordance with <br />the Administrative Code of the City of Lakewood, contracts not to exceed the specified amounts <br />shown without separate resolution of Council. <br />~VIIEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five (5) members elected thereto <br />determines that this. ordinance is an emergency measure,. and that this ordinance shall take effect <br />at the earliest date possible as set forth in ARTICLE III, SECTIONS 10 and 13 of the SECOND <br />AMMENDED CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, and that it is necessary to provide <br />for the usual daily operation of municipal departments in that delay could impair the City's <br />ability to provide necessary services in a timely manner. Now, therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br />Section 1. That Ordinance 81-09, adopted December 21, 2009, currently reading as follows <br />Section 1. That the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the Director of Public Works, the <br />Director of Law, the Director of Finance, and/or the Purchasing Manager is hereby authorized <br />and directed to enter into contracts in accordance with the Administrative Code of the City of <br />Lakewood, for the Division of Planning & Development, contracts not to exceed the specified <br />amounts shown, except as hereinafter provided: <br />Service Contracts <br />Beck Center -Art Education Scholarships <br />Camp Can Do <br />Cleveland Mediation Center -Homeless Prevention <br />Cleveland Restoration Society <br />DVC -Shelter Services <br />Early Childhood Scholarships <br />Fair Housing <br />Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority <br />HOME Investment Program <br />Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-housing <br />Job Creation Program <br />Lakewood Alive -Housing Outreach <br />$4,300,000 <br />
