PLACED ON !ST READING & REFERRED TO THE PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE 2/16/10, 2ND READING 3/1/10. ORDINANCE NO. 81-09A BY: Antonio, Bullock, Butler, Madigan, Powers, Smith, Summers. AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it receives the affirmative vote of at least five (5) members elected to Council otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law amending Ordinance 81-09, adopted December 21, 2009 for the purpose of adding the Madison Ave. TLCI Planning Grant ,authorizing the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the Director of Public Works, the Director of Law, the Director of Finance, and/or the Purchasing Manager to enter into service contracts in accordance with the Administrative Code of the City of Lakewood for the Division of Planning & Development in accordance with the Administrative Code of the City of Lakewood, contracts not to exceed the specified amounts shown without separate resolution of Council. ~VIIEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five (5) members elected thereto determines that this. ordinance is an emergency measure,. and that this ordinance shall take effect at the earliest date possible as set forth in ARTICLE III, SECTIONS 10 and 13 of the SECOND AMMENDED CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, and that it is necessary to provide for the usual daily operation of municipal departments in that delay could impair the City's ability to provide necessary services in a timely manner. Now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO Section 1. That Ordinance 81-09, adopted December 21, 2009, currently reading as follows Section 1. That the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the Director of Public Works, the Director of Law, the Director of Finance, and/or the Purchasing Manager is hereby authorized and directed to enter into contracts in accordance with the Administrative Code of the City of Lakewood, for the Division of Planning & Development, contracts not to exceed the specified amounts shown, except as hereinafter provided: Service Contracts Beck Center -Art Education Scholarships Camp Can Do Cleveland Mediation Center -Homeless Prevention Cleveland Restoration Society DVC -Shelter Services Early Childhood Scholarships Fair Housing Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority HOME Investment Program Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-housing Job Creation Program Lakewood Alive -Housing Outreach $4,300,000
