ORDINANCE N0. 33-10 gy.ANTONIO, BULLOCK, BUTLER MadIGAN, POWERS, SMITH, SUMMR$S AN ORDINANCE to amend Section 145.04, Membership, within Chapter 145, Keep Lakewood Beautiful, of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood to increase membership, increase the term of membership and to remove any restrictions on the number of terms that a member may serve. WHEREAS, Keep Lakewood Beautiful Board was established in 1997. Since that time, it has become apparent that the volunteers who serve on this Board are very committed to their duties and restrictions on terms should be removed in addition to lengthening each term to allow more continuity in the membership of the board. Now, therefore BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That Section 145.04, Membership, within Chapter 145, Keep Lakewood Beautiful, of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood currently reading as follows: 145.04 MEMBERSHIP. (a) The Keep Lakewood Beautiful Board provided for herein shall be comprised of at least ten but not more than thirteen members. Eighty percent (80%) of the voting Board shall be residents of and/or real property owners in the City. The remaining twenty percent (20%) may be members doing business or providing services to the City. Members shall be approved by Council and the Mayor. In addition, all members of Council and the Mayor shall be nonvoting ex- officio members of the Board. The following Municipal Departments may send a representative to act in an advisory capacity: (1) Department of Human Services, Division of Health; (2) Department of Public Works, Division of Refuse and Recycling; (3) Department of Planning and Community Development; and (4) Department of Safety, Division of Police.
