Placed on <br />2°d Reading 4/19/10.) <br />ORDINANCE N0. 33-10 gy.ANTONIO, BULLOCK, BUTLER <br />MadIGAN, POWERS, SMITH, SUMMR$S <br />AN ORDINANCE to amend Section 145.04, Membership, within Chapter <br />145, Keep Lakewood Beautiful, of the Codified Ordinances of the City of <br />Lakewood to increase membership, increase the term of membership and to <br />remove any restrictions on the number of terms that a member may serve. <br />WHEREAS, Keep Lakewood Beautiful Board was established in 1997. <br />Since that time, it has become apparent that the volunteers who serve on this <br />Board are very committed to their duties and restrictions on terms should be <br />removed in addition to lengthening each term to allow more continuity in the <br />membership of the board. Now, therefore <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1. That Section 145.04, Membership, within Chapter 145, Keep <br />Lakewood Beautiful, of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood currently <br />reading as follows: <br />145.04 MEMBERSHIP. <br />(a) The Keep Lakewood Beautiful Board provided for herein shall be <br />comprised of at least ten but not more than thirteen members. Eighty percent <br />(80%) of the voting Board shall be residents of and/or real property owners in <br />the City. The remaining twenty percent (20%) may be members doing business <br />or providing services to the City. Members shall be approved by Council and the <br />Mayor. In addition, all members of Council and the Mayor shall be nonvoting ex- <br />officio members of the Board. The following Municipal Departments may send a <br />representative to act in an advisory capacity: <br />(1) Department of Human Services, Division of Health; <br />(2) Department of Public Works, Division of Refuse and Recycling; <br />(3) Department of Planning and Community Development; and <br />(4) Department of Safety, Division of Police. <br />
