to be a through highway and thereafter the affected residence district shall be indicated by official traffic control devices. Where two or more streets or highways designated under this subsection (b intersect and no traffic control signal is in operation, stop signs or yield signs shal be erected at one or more entrances thereto by the Ohio Department of Transportation or by Council or the authorized local authority, except as otherwise provided in this section. (c) The Director of Public Safety shall erect stop signs or yield signs on all streets intersecting such through highways, except as otherwise herein specifically provided, grid shall also erect stop signs at one or more entrances to any intersection designated as a stop intersection by the terms of this Traffic Code. (d) The following additional intersections are hereby designated as stop intersections at which the Director of Public Safety is authorized and directed to erect stop signs as specified: Margaret Avenue and Carabel Avenue with a stop sign on Margaret Avenue; Margaret Avenue and Woodward Avenue with a stop sign on Margaret Avenue; Lakewood Heights Boulevard and Riverside Drive with a stop sign on Lakewood Heights Boulevard; Delaware Avenue and Hilliard Road with a stop sign on Delaware Avenue; Athens Avenue and Carabel Avenue with a stop sign on Athens Avenue; Spring Garden Avenue and Franklin Avenue with stop signs on Spring Garden Avenue; Spring Garden Avenue and Archdale Avenue with stop signs on .Spring Garden Avenue; and Spring Garden Avenue and Fries Avenue with stop signs on Spring Garden Avenue. (Ord. 23-70. Passed 4-6-70.) (e) Every stop sign shall bear the word "stop" in letters not less than six inches in height. Every stop sign shall be located as near as practicable at the property line of the street or highway at the entrance to which the stop must be made, or at the nearest line of the crosswalk thereat, or, if none, at the nearest line of the roadway. C. 4511.65, the following streets situated in residence districts are hereby declared not to be through streets or highways provided stop signs, yield signs or other official traffic control devices are erected at an intersecting street: Bunts Road from Clifton Boulevard to Lakewood Heights Boulevard; Warren Road from Clifton Boulevard to Lakewood Heights Boulevard and Woodward Avenue from Detroit Avenue to Fisher Road. Whenever traffic is controlled by traffic control signals exhibiting different colored lights, or colored lighted arrows, successively one at a time or in combination, only the colors green, red and yellow shall be used except for special pedestrian signals carrying words or symbols.
