shall be and is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />505.18 CERTAIN ANIMATES PROIi1BITED. <br />(d) Notwithstanding any of the foregoing, the Drector of Public Safety may <br />grant a specific exemption, on a temporary er--permaneaf basis, from any of <br />the provisions of this section to any person with a legitimate scientific, edu- <br />cational; or commercial er-etkee purpose for maintaining the prohibited ani- <br />mals, in accordance with the following provisions: <br />u The Director of Public Safety shall notify Council at least 30 da~prior <br />to an~ption takin eg ffect• <br />Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning <br />and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council and <br />that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such for- <br />mal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br />Section 3.
