Section 3. Section 149.141 of the Lakewood Codified Ordinances, currently read- <br />ing as follows: <br />149.141 HOSPITALIZATION COVERAGE FOR COUNCILPER- <br />SONS. <br />The Director of Finance is hereby authorized to pay from City funds the ac- <br />tual premium costs of hospitalization coverage, and any subsequent increase <br />in costs therefore, if any, for Councilpersons in the City who are enrolled in <br />the City's hospitalization plan. <br />shall be and hereby is amended to read as follows: <br />149.141 HOSPITALIZATION COVERAGE FOR COUNCILPER- <br />SONS. <br />The Director of Finance is hereby authorized to pay from City the full or a <br />portion of the monthly cost of coverage under the City's primary~~p <br />hospitalization plan and dental plan, includine claims costs and all adminis- <br />trative charees, for single or family coverage as selected by the Councilper- <br />son and as established by City policy, f.:ndc t;;c °°*°°' --°m'°~ °~°«° ,.F <br />..... :.g.°. .... ..:.j ...,.,yu .u .nvavuo.... <br />an3; for Councilpersons''-, ~ who are enrolled in the City's hospitali- <br />zation or dental plan <br />Section 4. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council con- <br />cerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of <br />this Council and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees <br />that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance <br />with all legal requirements. <br />Section 5. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure neces- <br />sary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and wel- <br />fare in the City and for the usual daily operation of the City for the reasons set forth and <br />defined in its preamble, and provided it receives the affirmative vote of at least five (5) <br />members of Council this ordinance shall take effect and be in force on January 1, 2012, <br />or otherwise shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law. <br />Adopted: jn,¢.(bvl~ l ~ 2v (~ <br />P ENT <br />Approved: 2 2-N'll <br />CLERK 7 --- <br />MAYOR <br />
