Section 545.05, Petty Theft, of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lake- <br />wood, currently reading as follows: <br />545.05 PETTY THEFT. <br />(a) No person, with purpose to deprive the owner of property or services, <br />shall knowhrgly obtain or exert control over either the property or ser- <br />vices in any of the following ways: <br />(1) Without the consent of the owner or person authorized to give consent; <br />(2) Beyond the scope of the express or hnplied consent of the o~mrer or <br />person authorized to give consent; <br />(3) By deception; <br />(4) By threat; <br />(5) By intimidation. <br />(b) Whoever violates this section is guilty pf petty theft, a misdemeanor of <br />the first degree provided the value of the property or services stolen is <br />less than five hundred dollars ($500.00). <br />shall be and hereby is amended to read as follows: <br />545.05 PETTY THEFT. <br />(a) No person, with purpose to deprive the owner of property or services, <br />shall knowingly obtain or exert conhol over either the property or ser- <br />vices in any of the following ways: <br />(1) WiOrout the consent of the owner or person authorized to give conseut; <br />(2) Beyond the scope of the express or implied consent of the owner or <br />
