SECTION 2. Section 301.161, Highway Traffic Signal, shall be and is hereby enacted to <br />read as follows: <br />301.161 HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SIGNAL. <br />"Highway traffic signal" means apower-operated traffic control device by which <br />traffic is warned or directed to take some specific action. "Highway traffic signal" <br />does not include apower-operated sign, steadily illuminated pavement markers, <br />warning light, or steady burning electric lamp. (ORC 4511.01(MMM)) <br />SECTION 3. Section 301.17, Intersection, currently reading as follows: <br />301.17 INTERSECTION. <br />"Intersection" means: <br />(a) The area embraced within the prolongation or connection of the lateral curb <br />lines, or, if none, then the lateral boundary lines of the roadways of two high- <br />ways which join one another at, or approximately at, right angles, or the area <br />within which vehicles traveling upon different highways joining at any other <br />angle may come in conflict. <br />(b) Where a highway includes two roadways thirty feet or more apart, then every <br />crossing of each roadway of such divided highway by an intersecting highway <br />shall be regarded as a separate intersection. If an intersecting highway also in- <br />cludes two roadways thirty feet or more apart, then every crossing of two <br />roadways of such highways shall be regarded as a separate intersection. <br />(c) The junction of an alley with a street or highway, or with another alley, shall <br />not constitute an intersection. (ORC 4511.01(KK); Ord. 34-10.
