(2) Such charges and rates shall be based on all water used during each one <br />month billing period. <br />(3) Such rates shall be charged monthly. <br />(b) Any lot parcel of land or premises discharging into the sanitary sewer but not <br />using City water wholly or partly shall at his or her own expense be required to <br />install meters or other measuring devices approved by the City Engineer to <br />measure either the water or the discharge to the sanitary sewer. <br />(c) Any lot parcel of land or premises desiring credit for water conswned for <br />purposes where the water is not returned to the sanitary sewer shall at his or her <br />o~w expense separately meter the water for such uses. <br />(d) Effective January 1, 2012, sewer rates charged by the Lakewood Division Utility <br />Billing shall be billed at a rate of not more $3.99 per one hundred cubic feet of <br />metered water consumption. <br />shall be and is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />902.04 RATES AND CHARGES. <br />(d) Effective January 1, 2&12 2013, sewer rates charged by the Lakewood Division <br />Utility Billh~g shall be billed at a rate of not more ~9 439 per one hwidred <br />cubic feet of metered water consumption. <br />Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br />concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this <br />Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted <br />in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal <br />requirements. <br />Section 3. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for <br />the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare in the City <br />and for the usual daily operation of the City for the reasons set forth and defined in the preamble, <br />and provided it receives the affirmative vote of at least five (5) of members of Council, this <br />ordinance shall take effect and be in force inunediately upon its adoption by the Council and <br />approval by the Mayor otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period <br />allowed by law. <br />Adopted: /1a,~ o , ~_ L,~-.
