Lakewood Municipal Court Cuyahoga County, Ohio Jn Re; Declaration of surplus ) of Court Special Project Funds ) Funds. } } Special Docket Judge Patrick Carroll Momorandum and order This matter is before the court in accordance with Oluo Rev. Code. Sec. 1901,26 on the declaration o£ surplus funds in the Lakewood Court's Special Projects Fund. TJpon review of the funds generated by the court in accordance with its stahitory authority, the court finds: 1) That there are sufficient foods currently in this account and anticipated to be generated for this account for court projects without the need to seek additional funding from the Lakewood City Council. 2) That the Court anticipates that the continuation paytnonts from court costs to this fund along with its current balance will create a surplus in ttis account after expected expenditures are made of an additional one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000.00). 3) That the court is aware of the reduction in revenues in local governments in general and specifically with the City of Lakewood, resulting in a reduction of operating revenue and that it would be in the best interest of the community to make this surplus available to the City of Lakewood instead of retaining it in the court's restricted fund account. Based upon the foregoing and in the determination, the court declares a surplus in the amount of $150,000.00 in the court's Special Projects Funds. The Finance Director is directed to transfer the amount of $150,000.00 from the Court's Special Projects fund to the General Fund of the City of Lakewood to ba used as unrrestricted funds for the City o£ Lakewood in the determination of the City Administration and according to law.
