915.03 HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION. <br />There is hereby established a Special Homestead exemption whereby water rates <br />charged to homesteads owned by a person 65 years of age or older or owned by <br />a permanently or totally disabled person, provided that such person's income <br />falls below thirty-five thousand dollars ($35,000) per annum. Pursuant to this <br />exemption, persons eligible shall be charged fitly -five percent (55 %) of the <br />water rate established pursuant to this chapter. <br />shall be and is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />915.03 HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION, <br />There is hereby established a Sspecial Hhomestead exemption whereby water <br />rates charged to homesteads a dwelling unit owned and occupied ed by a person 65 <br />years of age or older or owned and occupied by a permanently or totally <br />disabled person, provided that such person's the sum of all income of all adults <br />occupying the dwelling unit falls below thirty fiOe thou &ana dollar ($35,000) <br />per annum. Pursuant to this exemption, persons eligible shall be charged fifty- <br />five pce t 55 %) of the water rate established pursuant to this chapter. For the <br />purposes of this section, "income" shall have the same meaning as in Section <br />128.03101. <br />Section 3. Section 913.25, Homestead Exemption Sewer Rates, currently reading as <br />follows: <br />913.25 HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION SEWER RATES. <br />There is hereby established a special homestead exemption whereby sewer rates <br />charged to persons qualifying under Section 915.03 shall be not more than <br />eighty -five percent (85 %) of the sewer rate established pursuant to Section <br />902.04. <br />shall be and is hereby repealed. <br />Section 4. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning <br />and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, <br />and that all such deliberation of the Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such <br />formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br />Adopted: VIA u t o 1 3 <br />Approved: '' cl <br />President <br />
