(d) If dogs are permitted within any park pursuant to subsection (a) <br />hereof, no person shall fail to adhere to the following rules and re- <br />strictions: <br />(5) Notwithstanding any provision of this section, dogs shall be <br />prohibited from the following areas within Lakewood Park- <br />and Kauffman Park: <br />B. The athletic fields, courts and skating areas, whether or <br />not they are in use; <br />Section 2. Section 905.98, Authority of the Director of Public Works, of the <br />Lakewood Codified Ordinances, currently reading as follows: <br />905.98 AUTHORITY OF THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br />WORKS. <br />The Director of Public Works or his or her designee is authorized to <br />make and establish such additional rules and regulations, not otherwise <br />provided for and not inconsistent with the provisions of this chapter, as <br />he or she may deem necessary to protect the public in the use of the <br />parks and the facilities located therein and/or to protect and preserve <br />such parks and facilities. <br />shall be and hereby is amended to read as follows: <br />905.98 AUTHORITY OF THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br />WORKS. <br />The Director of Public Works or his or her designee is authorized to <br />make and establish such additional rules and regulations, not otherwise <br />provided for and not inconsistent with the provisions of this chapter, as <br />he or she may deem necessary to protect the public in the use of the <br />parks and the facilities located therein and/or to protect and preserve <br />such parks and facilities. No person shall violate any such rule or regu- <br />lation if it is posted publicly. <br />Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council con- <br />cerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of <br />this Council and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees <br />that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance <br />with all legal requirements. <br />
