(2) Such charges and rates shall be based on all water used during each one <br />month billing period. <br />(3) Such rates shall be charged monthly. <br />(b) Any lot parcel of land or premises discharging into the sanitary sewer but <br />not using City water wholly or partly shall at his or her own expense be <br />required to install meters or other measuring devices approved by the City <br />Engineer to measure either the water or the discharge to the sanitary sewer. <br />(c) Any lot parcel of land or premises desiring credit for water consumed for <br />purposes where the water is not returned to the sanitary sewer shall at his or <br />her own expense separately meter the water for such uses. <br />(d) Effective January 1, 2013, sewer rates charged by the Lakewood Division <br />Utility Billing shall be billed at a rate of not more $4.39 per one hundred <br />cubic feet of metered water consumption. <br />shall be and is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />902.04 RATES AND CHARGES. <br />(d) Effective January 1, 2013 2014, sewer rates charged by the Lakewood <br />Division Utility Billing shall be billed at a rate of not more $4:39 4.72 <br />per one hundred cubic feet ofuretered water consumption. <br />Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning <br />and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, <br />and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such <br />formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br />Section 3. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for <br />the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare in the City <br />and for the usual daily operation of the City for the reasons set forth and defined in the preamble, <br />and provided it receives the affirmative vote of at least five members of Council, this ordinance <br />shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption by the Council and approval by <br />the Mayor, or otherwise it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by <br />law. <br />Adopted: L p C t w h a.- I b 1 20/ 3, <br />Approved: 6' /I ZO "' <br />_-- <br />President <br />Clerk <br />Mayor <br />
