SECOND READING 2/21/17. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 13 -17 BY: Anderson, Bullock, Litten, Marx, Nowlin, <br />O'Leary, O'Malley. <br />AN ORDINANCE amending Section 109.04, Minutes Open to Public, of the Codified <br />Ordinances of the City of Lakewood. <br />WHEREAS, the Codified Ordinances stand to be updated in order to provide for the post- <br />ing of public meeting minutes on the City's official website; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the Constitution of the State of Ohio and the Ohio Revised <br />Code, municipalities have the power of local self - government; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the Constitution of the State of Ohio and the Ohio Revised <br />Code, municipalities have the power to enact laws that are for the health, safety, welfare, comfort <br />and peace of the citizens of the municipality; now, therefore <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, OHIO: <br />Section 1. Section 109.04, Minutes Open to Public, of the Lakewood Codified Ordinanc- <br />es, currently reading as follows: <br />109.04 MINUTES OPEN TO PUBLIC. <br />Minutes of all regular and special meetings of public bodies set forth in Section <br />109.01 shall promptly be recorded in writing and open to the public for inspec- <br />tion. Minutes of executive sessions of public bodies need only reflect the general <br />subject matter of discussion in such executive session. <br />shall be and hereby is repealed, and new Section 109.04, Minutes Open to Public, is enacted to <br />read as follows: <br />109.04 MINUTES OPEN TO PUBLIC. <br />Minutes of all regular and special meetings of public bodies set forth in Section <br />109.01 shall promptly be recorded in writing, and -open to the public for inspec- <br />tion and posted in digital format on the primary website of the City. Minutes of <br />executive sessions of public bodies need only reflect the general subject matter <br />of discussion in such executive session. <br />Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning <br />and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council and <br />that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such for- <br />mal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br />
