337.17 FOCUS AND AIM OF HEADLIGHTS, (a) No person shall use any lights mentioned in Section 337.02 to 337. 16 inclusive, upon any motor vehicle, trailer or semitrailer unless the lights are equipped, mounted and adjusted as to focus and aim in accordance with State regulations. (b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misde- meanor. (ORC 4513.19; Ord. 36 -10. Passed 7 - 19 -10) shall be and hereby is repealed, and new Section 337.17, Focus and Aim of Headlights, of the Lakewood Codified Ordinances is enacted to read as follows: 337.17 FOCUS AND AIM OF HEADLIGHTS (a) No person shall use any lights mentioned in Section 337.02 to 337.16, inclusive, upon any motor vehicle, trailer or semitrailer unless the lights are equipped, mounted and adjusted as to focus and aim in ac- cordance with State regulations. (b) The headlights on any motor vehicle shall comply with the beadlamp color requirements contained in federal motor vehicle safety standard number 108.49 C.F.R. 571.108. No person shall operate a mo- tor vehicle in violation of this subsection Ipl Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor. (OR C 4513.19). SECTION 13. Section 337.18, Motor Vehicle and Motorcycle Brakes, of the Lakewood Codified Ordinances, currently reading as follows: 337.17 MOTOR VEHICLE AND MOTORCYCLE BRAKES. (a) The following requirements govern as to brake equipment on vehicles: (1) Every motor vehicle, other than a motorcycle, when operated upon a street or highway, shall be equipped with brakes adequate to control the movement of and to stop and hold such motor vehicle, in- cluding two separate means of applying the brakes, each of which means shall be effective to apply the brakes to at least two wheels. If these two separate means of applying the brakes are connected in any way, then on such motor vehicles manufactured or assembled after January 1, 1942, they shall be so constructed that failure of any one part of the operating mechanism shall not leave the motor vehicle without brakes on at least two wheels. (2) Every motorcycle, when operated upon a street or highway, shall be equipped with at least one adequate brake, which may be op- erated by hand or by foot. (3) Every motorized bicycle shall be equipped with brakes meeting the rules adopted by the Ohio Director of Public Safety un- der Ohio R.C. 4511.521.
