RESOLUTION NO. 3442 ~/ Mr. Ootterm~yer <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY R~SOLUTION authorizing the Mayor, as Director of Pablic <br />Works, to advertise for bids for the alteration of the existing Incinerator <br />Building~ the construction of an addition to the existing building and the con- <br />etructien of two additional furnaces amd the necessary appurtenances thereto. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. C. L. Todd, Consultt~ Engineer, employed by the city to <br />prepare plans and mpecifications for the enlargement of the incinerator plant, <br />has completed said plans and specifications~ which have heen examined and ap- <br />proved by the City Engineer and the Superintendent of the Refuse Collection <br />and Disposal Depart~ent~ and, <br /> <br /> W~EREAS, it is necessary to proceed with this improvement with as <br />little delay as possible, and, <br /> <br /> WHERFAS, an emergency exists to provide fc~ the i~uediate preeew~A- <br />%ion of the public property~ health and eafety and to provide for the usual <br />daily operation of a municipal department, to-wits Department of Refuse <br />Collection and Disposal; now, therefore, <br /> <br />B~ IT RESOLVED F~ THE 00UNCIL OF T~E OIT~ OF LAXE~OOD, STAT~ OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor, as Director of Public Works, be and he is <br />hereby authorized and directed to advertise for bids for the alteration of the <br />existing Incinerator BAilding, the construction of an addition to the existing <br />building and the construction of two additional furnsoes and the necessary <br />appurtenances thereto, in accordance with the pJ~ns~ specifications and drawings <br />as prepared by the Consulting Engineer, and which are hereby approved. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this resolution is hereby decla_~ed to he an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the pre~nble hereof and provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Co,moil, it shall <br />take effect and be in force Immediately upon its adoption and approval by the <br />Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted, April 3~ 19~O <br /> <br />Approved:_ April 4, 1950 <br /> <br />W~.
