RESOLUTION NO. 3461 BY Nrc Vick~ry <br /> <br /> AN ~.RGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor, as Director of <br />Public Works, to advertise for bids for the purchase of traffic signs. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an emergency exists ~ue to the parking of vehicles <br />on streets with a pavement of 26 feet or less, and in that it is necessary <br />to control the speed of traffic on certain streets, and, <br /> <br /> ~HEREAS, an emergency exists to provide for the immediate pres- <br />ervation of the public property, health and safety and to provide for the <br />usual daily operation of a municipal department, now, therefore~ <br /> <br /> ~ IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF v~OITy OF IAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br />OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor~ as Director of Public Works, be <br />and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the purchase of <br />certain traffic signs as follows: <br /> <br />Approximately 425 "Slow" signs for side streets, approximately <br />1000 "No Parking on this Side of Street" signs and approxi- <br />mately 300 U bar sign posts. <br /> <br /> Section 2~ That this resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and pro- <br />vided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force fmmediately <br />upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor, <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />August 95 1950 <br /> <br />Wm.
