RESOLUTION NO, 3492 BY Mr. Gottermeyer <br /> <br /> ' N <br /> AN ~ERGENCY RESOLUTIO requesting the Director of Finance to file a cer- <br />tificate of maturity in connection with the issuance of Three Hundred Thousand <br />~ollsrs ($300,000.00) of Lakewood Hospital Bonds, <br /> I~TEREAS, this Council contemplates submitting to the electors of the City <br />of Lakewood the question of issuing Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300,000.00) <br />of Lakewood Hospital Bonds of which s~n One Hundred Thirty-five Thousand Dollars <br />($135,O00.00) is proposed to be used for the construction and improvement of fire- <br />proof buildings and One Hundred Sixty-five Thousand ($165,000.00) for furniture <br />and furnishings, all of which will be in accordance with preliminary estimates <br />and with general specifications heretofore adopted for similar work in the past, <br />and, <br /> V~HEREAM, Sections 2293-2 and 2293-10 of the General Code require the <br /> fiscal officer of the City to certify to this Council his estimated life of the <br /> property, asset or improvement, proposed to be acquired or constructed from the <br /> proceeds of said bends and also to certify to this Council the maximum maturity <br /> of such bends calc~lated in accordance with the provision~ of Section 2293-9 of <br /> the General Code including the weighted average of the amounts proposed to be <br /> expended for said several classes of improvements, and, <br /> ~qtEREAS, an emergency exists for the immediate preservation of the public <br /> health, property and safety and for the operation of a ~unicipal department, and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Director of Finance is the fiscal officer of this City as <br /> defined in Section 2293-1 of the General Code, now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF L~K~¥oOD~ STATE OF OH!0: <br /> Section l. That the Director of Finance be, and he is hereby, requested <br /> to certify to this Council his conclusions as to the estimated life of such im- <br /> provement and the maximum maturity of such bends with such other information as <br /> may be required by law. <br /> Section 2. This resolution is hereby decl~ed to be an emergency measure <br /> for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and, provided it receives the af- <br /> firmative vote of two.thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take <br /> effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the ~ayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />Wm.
