{ <br /> ~ ) <br /> RESOLUTION No, 3557 BY Mr. Vickery <br /> AN E[~R.GE[~CY RESOLUTION requesting the Director of Finance to certify to <br /> this Council the maximum maturity of bonds in the amount of Forty-Five Thousand <br /> Dollars 045,000,00) proposed to be issued for the purpose of purchasing one Aerial <br /> Ladder Truck for the Division of Fire, and the purchase of one Police Ambulance for <br /> the Division of Policed <br /> WHEREAS, this Council contemplates issuing Forty-Five Thousand Dollars <br /> (~45,000o00) Fire and Police Equipment Bonds from the proceeds of which Thirty-Five <br /> Thousand Dollars 035,000.00) is to be used for the purchase of one Aerial ladder <br /> Truck for the Division of Fire and Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000000) is to be used <br /> for the purchase o£ one Police Ambulance for the Division of Police, and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 2293-2 ana 2293-10 of the General Code require the fiscal <br /> officer of the City to certify to this Council the estimated life ®f the equipment <br /> to be purchased from the proceeds of said bonds and also to certify to this Council <br /> the maximum maturity of such bonds calculated in acscordance with provisions of <br /> Section 2293-9 of the General Code, including the weighted average of the amounts <br /> <br /> ~ proposed to be expended for said different classes of equipment, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Director of Finance is the fiscal officer of the City o£ <br /> Lakewood, Ohio, as defined in Section 2293-1 of the General Code, and <br /> ~ WHEREAS, an emergency exists for the reasons that this Council has and <br /> hereby determines on the recommendation of its Committee and the Chiefs of said <br /> Divisions that i.t is necessary in the interests of the public welfare and safety <br /> and for the efficient operation of said Divisions to forthwith sell the unfit and <br /> obsolete equipment and to purchase new equipment, now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOL~IED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1o That the Director of Finance be and he is hereby requested to <br /> certify to this Council his conclusions as to the estimated life of such equipment <br /> and the maximum maturity of such bonds with such other information as may be re- <br /> quired by lawn <br /> Section 2.
