f <br /> a <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 3591 BY Mr. Gottermeyer <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor, as Director <br /> of Public Safety, to advertise for bids for the purchase of eight <br /> new four door sedans and the sale of eight used cars now in service <br /> in the Police Department. <br /> WHEREAS, funds have been appropriated for the purchase of new <br /> cars for the Police Department, and <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary to authorize the sale of similar <br /> 'p used equipment, as such used equipment is no longer needed and is <br /> unfit for public use, and <br /> - WHEREAS, it is necessary that this purchase and sale be made <br /> at as early a date as possible, and <br /> a WHEREAS, an emergency exists in order to provide for the im- <br /> mediate preservation of the .public property, health and safety and to <br /> provide for the usual daily operation of a municipal department, now <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br /> OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor as Director of Public Safety, be <br /> and he is hereby authorized and d~rected to advertise for bids for <br /> the purchase of eight new four door sedans and for the sale of <br /> certain used cars of a similar type and kind now in service in the <br /> Police Department. <br /> Section 2. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an <br /> emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereoF and <br /> provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all mem- <br /> bers elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force im- <br /> mediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> Adopted; April 5. 1954 <br /> Thomas C.
