RESOLUTION N0. 360 BY Mr. Gottermeyer AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor, as Director of Public Works, to advertise for bids for resurfacing the Cleveland Transit System track area on Madison Avenue, with either T-35 or T-50 asphaltic concrete. WHEREAS, the Cleveland Transit System track area on Madison Avenue is badly in need of resurfacing, and WHEREAS, it is necessary that this work be done with as little ''=4 delay as possible, and WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has made plans and speci- fications for this work, and WHEREAS, it is necessary to do this work during the present year, in order to save the existing pavement, and WHEREAS, an emergency exists in order to provide for the im- mediate preservation of the public property, health and safety and in order to provide for the usual daily operation of a municipal depart- went, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Mayor, as Director of Public Works be and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the resurfacing of the Cleveland Transit System track area on Madison Avenue, with either T-35 or T-50 asphaltic concrete, and pursuant to plans and specifica- tions prepared by the Engineering Department, which are hereby approved. Section 2. That the expense of this improvement shall be paid from the Gasoline and Auto License Tax Funds. Section 3. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. y Adopted.: September 7. 1954 q, Wm.
