RESOLUTION N0. 360 BY Mr. Gottermeyer <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor, as Director of <br /> Public Works, to advertise for bids for resurfacing the Cleveland <br /> Transit System track area on Madison Avenue, with either T-35 or T-50 <br /> asphaltic concrete. <br /> WHEREAS, the Cleveland Transit System track area on Madison <br /> Avenue is badly in need of resurfacing, and <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary that this work be done with as little <br /> ''=4 delay as possible, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has made plans and speci- <br /> fications for this work, and <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary to do this work during the present <br /> year, in order to save the existing pavement, and <br /> WHEREAS, an emergency exists in order to provide for the im- <br /> mediate preservation of the public property, health and safety and in <br /> order to provide for the usual daily operation of a municipal depart- <br /> went, now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br /> OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor, as Director of Public Works be and <br /> he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the resurfacing of <br /> the Cleveland Transit System track area on Madison Avenue, with either <br /> T-35 or T-50 asphaltic concrete, and pursuant to plans and specifica- <br /> tions prepared by the Engineering Department, which are hereby approved. <br /> Section 2. That the expense of this improvement shall be paid <br /> from the Gasoline and Auto License Tax Funds. <br /> Section 3. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an <br /> emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br /> provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br /> elected to Council it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br /> upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br /> y <br /> Adopted.: September 7. 1954 <br /> q, <br /> Wm.
