RESOLUTION NO. p626 BY Mr. ~ottermeyer <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Nayor~ as Director of <br />Public Works, to advertise for Bids for the concession of operating <br />a refreshment stand in Lakewood Park and in Madison Park for the <br />period beginning May 1~, 19~ and ending November PO, 19~ and, in <br />the alternative, for the period beginning May 1~, 19~ and ending <br />November PO, <br /> <br /> ~4EREAS, an emergency exists in that the subject matter of <br />this resolution has already been delayed by the Council for such <br />time as now requires the adoption of this resolution as an emergency <br />measure in order to advertise for the bids herein authorized and <br />enter into an agreement in sufficient time to enable ~he concession- <br />aire to begin operating the eoncession by May l~ 19~ and ~n that <br />it provides for the public welfare and. the usual daily operation of <br />a municipal department~ now~ therefore, <br /> <br /> RE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF LAKEWOOD~ STATE <br />OF <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the ~ayor, as. Dire~ctor of .Publ.i? Works, <br />and he ia hereby~ authorized to advertise x'or bids for ~ne c_oncessxon <br />of operating a r~freshment stand in Lakewood Park and in Madison <br />Park in the City of Lakew~od for the period beginning' May 15~ 1~5~. <br />and ending November 30, 1~5~ and~ in the alternative~ for the perx_o~ <br />beginning May 15~ 1~5 and ending November pO~ 1~7. The advertise <br />ment shall include statements to the effect that separate bids are <br />reacquired as to each Park.~ that a bidder may bid with res ,ct. to <br />either or both periods of time above referred to~ that t~e successful <br />bidder shall furnish'a public liability policy in the amount of Five <br />Thousand Dollars ~$5,O00.00) if awarded for the period beginning <br />May 15, 1~. and ending November 30, 1~ Fifteen Thousand Dollars <br />($15~000o00~ if awarded for the period beginning May 1~, 1~ and <br />ending November PO, 19~7 and a performance bo.nd in t. he amc.trot.of One <br />Thousand Dollars (~1~000.00~ if awarded for the per~od beg~nnxng <br />May 1~,. 1~5.~ and ending November ~0, 1~ Three Thousand Dollar. e <br />($3,000.00) if awarded for the period beginning Nay 1~, 1~ an.a <br />ending November 30~ 1~?~ each ~n favor of the City of Lakew~o~ ana <br />in terms satisfactory to t~e Director of Public ~orks~ and that the <br />City reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, waive any state- <br />ments or omission of statements in the bids as may be determined by <br />the Council to be inform~ities~ and to accept the bid or bids as <br />may be determined by Council to be most favorable to the City of <br />~kewnod. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
