Gottermeyer <br /> <br /> AN F2~RGENCTRESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor, on behalf of the <br />City of Lakewood, to grant authority to the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce <br />to construct, otherwise provide for and carry out a pyrotechnic or fire- <br />works display in Lakewood Park July 27, 19~, subject to ~he conditions <br />hereinafter stipulated. <br /> <br /> kItEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency for the reasons <br />that although the proposed display is to be made July 2?, 1955, and has <br />been informally approved by ~his ~umcil, ~enera! Offenses Code Section <br /> for such authority <br />931.09~ p~ovides to be granted by the liayor pursuant <br />to a resolution adopted ~y $ouncil, and in that it provides for the _ <br />public welfare and ~afety'and the usual ~aily operation Of a municipal <br />department, aow, therefore, . . <br /> <br /> ~E IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAXEWOOD; STATE OF <br />OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the~ayor be, and he is hereby, authorized, <br />on behalf of the City of Lakewood, to grant authority to the Lakewood <br />Chamber of Commerce to construct, otherwise provide for mud carryout <br />a pyrotechnical display of fireworks in Lakewood Park, ~,.y 27, 1955, <br />providing that there be first furnished to the City of L~kewood public <br />liability insurance in limits of at least $2~,000.CO for injuries %o <br />one person a~d $100,000.00 for injuries to more than one person and <br />9f at least $10,000.00 for damages to prope~y of one owner and <br />$50,000.00 for damages te property of more than one o~ner or, i~ lieu <br /> <br />of such insurance, a bond for equivalent amounts and purposes ~mder- <br />taking to indemnify and saveharmless the City of Lakewood, its ofT <br />ricers and agents, from all claims, suits and actions of every kine <br />and ~escription made or brought against the City of Lakewood or itc <br />officers and agents, or both, for, by reason of or on account of any <br />injuries or d~ges to persons or property received or sustained by <br />a~y person or persons in, by reason of, on account .of or growingout <br />of said pyrotechnical display of fire~orks or by or in consequence <br />of any materials, explosives or explosions in connection therewith, <br />such insurance or bond being, in form and surety, satisfactory to the <br />~yor; and provided further ~hat no detonable aerial or ground bombs <br />shall be exploded and that the display be confined to ornamental <br />designs and fireworks which do not create loud noises. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
