RESOLUTION NO. 3658 BY Mr. Chockley AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor to proceed with the widening of the east side of West Clifton Boulevard from the northeast corner of its intersection with Detroit Avenue to approxi- mately 3~0 feet north thereof. WHEREAS, due to congested parking conditions at the location referred to in the preamble, it is necessary that the east side of West Clifton Boulevard be widened eight feet from Detroit Avenue to approximately 350 feet north thereof, and WHEREAS, it is necessary that this work be done with the least possible delay, and WHEREAS, an emergency exists in order to provide for the im- mediate preservation of the public property, health and safety and to provide for the usual daily operation of a municipal department, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATEi OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Mayor be and he is hereby, authorized to widen the east side of West Clifton Boulevard, from the northeast corner of its intersection with Detroit Avenue, a distance of approx- imately 340 feet north thereof, a width of eight feet, by direct labor. Section 2. That the expense of this improvement shall be paid out of the State Highway Division of the Gasoline Tax Fund. Section 3. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately~ upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor.
