RESOLUTION NO. 3658 BY Mr. Chockley <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor to proceed with <br />the widening of the east side of West Clifton Boulevard from the <br />northeast corner of its intersection with Detroit Avenue to approxi- <br />mately 3~0 feet north thereof. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, due to congested parking conditions at the location <br />referred to in the preamble, it is necessary that the east side of <br />West Clifton Boulevard be widened eight feet from Detroit Avenue to <br />approximately 350 feet north thereof, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary that this work be done with the <br />least possible delay, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an emergency exists in order to provide for the im- <br />mediate preservation of the public property, health and safety and <br />to provide for the usual daily operation of a municipal department, <br />now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATEi <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor be and he is hereby, authorized to <br />widen the east side of West Clifton Boulevard, from the northeast <br />corner of its intersection with Detroit Avenue, a distance of approx- <br />imately 340 feet north thereof, a width of eight feet, by direct <br />labor. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the expense of this improvement shall be <br />paid out of the State Highway Division of the Gasoline Tax Fund. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately~ <br />upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />October ~, 19~~ <br /> <br />Wm.
