RESOLUTION NO. 366~ BY Mr. Fahrenbach <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor, as Director <br />of Public Safety, to advertise for bids for the purchase of one new <br />four-door sedan and the sale of one used car now in service in the <br />Police Department, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, funds have been appropriated for the purchase of <br />one new car for the POlice Department, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary to authorize the sale of one used <br />car which is unfit for public use, and <br /> <br /> ~HEREAS, it is necessary that this purchase and sale be made <br />at as early a date as possible, and <br /> <br /> ~HEREAS, an emergency exists in order to provide for the <br />~mmediate preservation of the public property, health and safety <br />and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department, now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor, as Director of Public Safety, be <br />and he is hereby authorized and directed to advertise for bids for <br />the purchase of one new four-door sedan and for the sale of one used <br />car of a similar type and kind now in service in the Police Depart- <br />ment. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this resolution is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof <br />and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: January3, 19~6 <br /> <br />Thomas C.
