RESOLUTION NO. 3704 BY Messrs. <br /> <br />Chockley, Fahrenbach, <br />Fairgrieve, Gaydos, <br />Gottermeyer, Quinn, <br />Ward. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION commending the Asplundh Tree Expert Company of <br />Cleveland, Ohio, for its splendid cooperation and assistance in <br />offering manpower and equipment to the City of Lakewood, to help in <br />clearing the debris, as a result of the recent storm° <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, On the night of May 12, 1956, the City of Lakewood, <br />Ohio was struck by a violent storm, as a result of which two per- <br />sons lost their lives, many were injured and much property was de- <br />stroyed; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The scope of the disaster was of such great magni- <br />tude that the city personnel and facilities were inadequate to <br />cope with the havoc and destruction following in the wake of such <br />storm; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The Asplundh Tree Expert Company of Cleveland, Ohio, <br />offered manpower and equipment to help clear the debris from the <br />streets, now, therefore be it <br /> <br /> RESOLVED that the members of the City Council adopt this <br />resolution as an expression of appreaiation to the Asplundh Tree <br />Expert Company for its aid and assistance to our community in its <br />time of need; and be it further <br /> <br /> RESOLVED that the Clerk of Council transmit an authentica- <br />ted copy of this resolution to the Asplundh Tree Expert Company <br />of 12710 ~les Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />May 21, 1956 <br /> <br />Thomas C.
