RESOLUTION NO. 3712 BY Mr. Fairgrieve <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor, as Director of <br />Public Works, to advertise for bids for the purchase of two trucks <br />for the Refuse Collection and Disposal Department. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, funds have been appropriated for the purchase of <br />these trucks, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary that they be purchased at as early <br />a date as possible, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an emergency exists in order to provide for the im- <br />mediate preservation of the public property, health and safety, and <br />to provide for the usual daily operation of a municipal department, <br />now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br />OF OHI0: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor, as Director of Public Works, be <br />and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the purchase <br />of two trucks for the Refuse Collection and Disposal Department. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this resolution is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof <br />and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force im- <br />mediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: June 18. 1956 <br /> <br />Thomas C.
