RESOLUTION NO. )716 BY Mr. Quinn <br /> <br />/ .._ .AN .~, .~R~NCY RESOLUTION requesting the Director of Finance to <br /> ce`r~zy .~.o_.~xs ~ou~..cil~ the maximum maturity of Bonds in the amount <br /> .ox' o.ne .m~.-lxon one hundred thousand dollars proposed to be issued as <br /> nereznax'ter provided for the construction and for the equipment, Furn- <br /> iture, furnishings of a fireproof municipal departments and adminis- <br /> tra.tion buil~i~n.g, .and his est.i~.te of the life of permanent improve- <br /> men~s proposes ~o be conetructea and acquired from the proceeds of <br /> said bonds. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS. This 0ounctl contemplates submitting to the electors <br />of the City of LakeWOod the question of issuing the bonds more par- <br />ticularly hereinafter described in Section 1 hereof$ and <br /> <br /> ~gHEREAS, Sections 13~,21 and 1~3,25 of the Revised Code pro, <br />~de_that before any resolution, orcbtnance~ or other measure provid- <br />g for the issuance of bonds i.s passed or adopted, the fiscal of- <br />ficer shall certify to the bond issuing authority the maximum ~tur' <br />ity of such bonds calculated in accord_-_nce with the provisions of <br />SeCtion 133.20 of the Revised Code including the weighted average of <br />the amounts proposed to be expended for the several classes of the <br />improvements and. also, that the fiscal officer shall Certify the <br />estimated life of the asset, property, construction or permanent <br />provements proposed to be acquired, Constructed, improved, extended~ <br />or enlarged from the proceeds of said bonds$ and <br /> <br /> ~HEREAS, The Director of Finance is the fiscal officer of the <br />City of Lake~oo~, as defined in Section 133,O1 of the Revised Codei <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency for the <br />reasons that this Council desires to submit the question to the <br />electors at the election to be held November 6, 1956, that Revised <br />Code Section 1~3.09 requires the taxing authority to certify the <br />resolution, passed and containing provisions as in said section pro- <br />vided, to the County Auditor at least 110 days prior to the e!ect!o.n <br />at which it is desired to submit such question and that it provide~ <br />.f.or the. publi.c .health.~ welfare~ and ~afety~and the usual daily opera- <br />~on ox- a munAcxpal aepartment$ now, therefore~ <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD~ STATE <br />OF OHIO~ <br /> ~ection 1, That the Director of ~inance be, and he is hereby, <br />requested to certify to this Council the maximum maturity of bonds in. <br />the amount of one million one hundred thousand dollars,~ from the pro <br />coeds whereof it is proposed to use .one million dollars for the con' <br />struction of a fireproof municipaI cepartments and administration <br />building and to use One hundred thousand dollars for acquiring equip- <br />ment, furniture and furnishings for said building~ <br /> <br /> Section 2. This resolution is hereby declared to be an emer- <br />gency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and, pro- <br />vided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its adoption. <br /> <br />Adopted: ......
