RESOLUTION NO. 3759 BY: <br /> <br />Messrs. Chockley, Fahrenbach, <br />Fairgrieve, Gaydos, Gottermeyer <br />Quinn, Ward. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor, as Director of Public <br />Works, to advertise for bids for furnishing approximately 6000 feet <br />of 12" cast iron pipe and 6000 feet of 8" cast iron pipe, together <br />with such cast iron tees, bends, reducers and other fittings,as are <br />required, for the installation ~fwater mains in Warren Road, Elmwood <br />Avenue and Grace Avenue. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Oomncil has, by Resolution No. 3735, declared the <br />necessity of issuing water main bonds of the City of Lakewood for the <br />purpose of improving the water distribution system by installing <br />mains and the necessary valves, hydrants and other appurtenances in- <br />cidental and necessary thereto, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The Council, by Ordinance No. 76-56, provided for <br />the issuance of bonds of the City of Lakewood to provide a fund for <br />the purpose of improving the water distribution system by installing <br />mains and the necessary valves, hydrants and other appurtenances in- <br />cidental and necessary thereto, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, It may be to the advantage of the City of Lakewood <br />to furnish the materials for the construction of the said water mains, <br />now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CiTY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor, as Director of Public Works, be <br />and he is hereby authorized and.directed to adv~rtise for bids for <br />~pproximately 6000 feet of 12" xnch cast iron pipe and 6000 feet of <br />S" cast iron pipe, together with such cast iron tees, bends, reducers <br />and other fittings, as are required, for the installation of water <br />mains in Warren Road, Elmwood Avenue and GraceAvenue, all in accord- <br />ance with plans and specifications prepared by the Engineering Depart- <br />ment, which are hereby approved. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
