RESOLUTION NO. 3764 BY: <br /> <br />Messrs. Chocktey, Fahrenbach, <br /> Fairgrieve, Gaydos, <br /> Gottermeyer, Ward° <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION expressing the appreciation of the Council of the <br />City of Lakewood to the. Civil Defense Corps of Ohio for their co-opera- <br />tion in the wake following the May 12, 1956 disaster. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, On May 12, 1956, the City of Lakewood was struck by a <br />major disaster which in the determination of the President was of suffi- <br />cient severity and magnitude to warrant disaster assistance by the fed- <br />eral government to supplement the efforts and available resources of <br />the State and our municipality, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Pursuant to such determination, the City of Lakewood! <br />made application for assistance to the Civil Defense Corps of Ohio, <br />and <br /> <br />the <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The Civil Defense Corps of Ohio were most helpful to <br />City of Lakewood in a multitude of ways too numerous to mention, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The Council of the City of Lakewood, on behalf of the <br />City, desires to express its sincere appreciation for the splendid <br />assistance and co-operation accorded to the City following such disaster, <br />now, therefore, be it <br /> <br /> RESOLVED, That the Council adopt this resolution as an expres- <br />sion of appreciation and gratitude to the Civil Defense Corps of Ohio <br />for their co-operation and assistance following such disaster, and be <br />it further <br /> <br /> RESOLVED, That the Clerk of Council transmit a duly authenti- <br />cated copy of this resolution to the Civil Defense Corps of Ohio. <br /> <br />Adopted: February 4, 1957 <br /> <br />Approved: February 5. ~9~7 <br /> <br />Thomas C.
