<br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor, as Director of
<br />Public Works, to advertise for bids for the concession of operating.
<br />refreshment stands in Lakewood Park and in Madison Park for the permod
<br />beginning May 15, 1957 and ending November 30, 1957, and, in the al-
<br />ternative, for the period beginning May 15, 1957 and ending November
<br />30, 1959.

<br /> WHEREAS, an emergency exists to provide for the public welfare
<br />and the usual daily operation of a municipal department, now, therefore,
<br />
<br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE
<br />OF OHIO:
<br />
<br /> Section 1. That the Mayor, as Director of Public Works, be~
<br />and he is hereby, authorized te advertise for bids for the concession
<br />of operating refreshment stands in Lakewood Park and in Madison Park
<br />in the City of Lakewood for the period beginning May 15, 1957 and
<br />ending November 30, 1957, and, in the alternative, for the period be-
<br />ginning May 15, 1957 and ending November 30, 1959. The advertisement
<br />shall include statements to the effect that separate bids are required
<br />as to eaeh Park; that a bidder may bid with respect to either or both
<br />periods of time above referred to; that the successful bidder shall
<br />furnish a public liability policy in the amount of Five Thousand Dollars
<br />($5,000.00) if awarded £or the period beginning May 15, 1957 and ending
<br />November 30, 1957, Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000oO0) if awarded for
<br />the period beginning May 15~ 1957 and ending November 30. 1959 and a
<br />performance bond in the amount of One Thousand Dollars ($1,O00.O0) if
<br />awarded for the period beginning May 15 1957 and ending November 30,
<br />1957, Three ~ ~
<br /> Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00) if awarded for the period
<br />beginning May 15, 1957 and ending NovemBer 30, 1959, each in favor ef
<br />the City of Lakewood and in terms satisfactory to the Director of Public
<br />Works; and that the City reserves the right to reject any or all bids,
<br />waive any statements or omission of statements in the bids as may be
<br />determined by the Council to be informalities, and to accept the bid
<br />or bids as may be determined by Council to be most favorable to the City
<br />of Lakewood.

<br /> Section 2. This resolution is hereby declared to be an emer-
<br />gency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and, pro-
<br />vided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members
<br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately
<br />upon its adoption.
