RESOLUTION NO. 3785 BY: Messrso <br /> <br />Gaydos, Gettermeyer, <br />Quinn, Ward, Chockley, <br />Fahrenbach, Fairgrieve. <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayer, as Director of <br />Public Safety, to advertise for bids for the purchase of eight new $ <br />door sedans! one police emergency truck and one three-wheel motorcycle <br />for the Police Department and the sale of six 1956 Ford $ door sedans <br />and one 1955 Ford 4 door sedan, all equipped with police intercepter <br />engines, one 19~2 6 cylinder International package delivery truck and <br />one 1953 Harley-Davidson Servi-car type three-wheel motorcycle, now in <br />service in the Police DeRartmento <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Funds have been appropriated for the purchase of eight <br />new cars, o~e police emergency truck and eno three-wheel motorcycle <br />for the Polmce Department, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, It is necessary to authorize the sale of seven used <br />cars, one truck and one motorcycle now in service in the Police Depart- <br />ment, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, It is necessary that the purchase and sale be made at <br />as early a date as possible, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, An emergency exists in that it is for the immediate <br />~reservation of the public peace, property, health er safety er provid- <br /> ng for the usual daily operation of a mUnicipal department, now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor, as Director of Public Safety, be <br /> and he is hereby authorized to advertise forbids for the purchase and <br /> sale of the following equipment: <br /> <br /> (a) The purchase cf eight new ~ door sedans. <br /> <br /> (b) The purchase of one new police emergency truck. <br /> <br /> (c) The purchase of one new three wheel motorcycle. <br /> <br /> The sale of si~ 1956 Ford ~ door sedans and one 1955 Ford $ door <br /> sedan, all equipped with police interceptor engines. <br /> <br /> (e) The sale of one 19~2 6 cylinder International package delivery <br /> truck, <br /> <br /> (f) The sale of one 1953 Harley-Davidson Servi-car type three-wheel <br /> motorcycle. <br /> <br /> Bids may be submitted for all such vehicles or any part thereof; <br /> provided that if the bid is for more than one vehicle, the bid shall <br /> contain a breakdown of the individual prices of each of the vehicles <br /> constituting such bid; such individual prices shall be used for the <br /> cityts coding purposes only and shall not be construed to be the bid <br /> price, Unless the bid for the entire group of vehicles contained in <br /> such bid is accepted by the citY. <br /> <br /> The amount bid for the seven used cars to be sold by the city <br /> shall be deducted from the price bid for the eight new cars to be pur- <br /> chased by the city; the amount bid for the used truck to be sold by the <br /> city shall be deducted from the price bid for the new truck and the <br /> price bid for the used motorcycle shall be deducted from the price bid <br /> for the new motorcycle° In each case the net price shall be quoted° <br /> <br /> <br />
