RESOLUTION NO. 3803 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. Qminn, Ward, <br /> Chockley, Fahrenbach, <br /> Fairgrieve, Gaydos, <br /> Gottermeyero <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor, as Director of <br />Public Works to advertise for bids for street lighting service for a <br />period of five years, beginning October l, 1957. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, specifications and lamp location plat for the electric <br />street lighting system in the City have been prepared and are on file <br />in the Office of the Mayor of the City, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in the interest of public safety and welfare it is <br />necessary to provide street lighting, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the preparation of the specifications and lamp location <br />plat has been delayed, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to enter into a contract for street lighting <br />before October 1, 1957, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an emergency exists in order to provide for the immed- <br />iate preservation of the public property, health and safety and to pro- <br />vide for the usual daily operation of a municipal department, now there- <br />fore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br />OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor, as Director of Public Works, be and <br />he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for street lighting ser- <br />vice for a period of five years, beginning October l, 1957. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the specifications and lamp location plat are <br />hereby approved. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: July 1..t9~7 <br /> <br />Approved: July 2.. 19~7. <br /> <br />Thomas C.
