RESOLUTION NO. 3813 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. <br /> <br />Chocktey, Fahrenbach, <br />Fairgrieve, Gaydos, <br />Gottermeyer, Ward. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor, as Director of Public Works, <br />to advertise for bids for the construction of a fireproof public swim- <br />ming pool and service building in Madison Park. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Pursuant to Resolution No. 3726 and related legisla- <br />tion subsequently adopted, the question of the issuance of bonds in <br />the amount of $250,000.00 for the Purpose of construction of a fire- <br />proof public swimming pool and service building, and for the purchase <br />of furniture, furnishings and apparatus for such swimming pool, was <br />submitted to the electors for approval; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Sufficient affirmative votes were cast in favor of the <br />issuance of such bonds; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Pursuant to Ordinance No. 46-56, said bonds were is- <br />sued and sold, and a contract for the drawing ef the plans and specifi- <br />cations was entered into with John F. Ltpaj, Architect, now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor, as Direotor of Publie Works, be and <br />he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the coustruction of <br />a fireproof public swimming pool and service building in Madison Park <br />in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by said arch- <br />itect employed by the City, which plans and specifications have been <br />heretofore and are hereby approved. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the advertisement for said bids shall provide <br />for and request that bids for the construction of said fireproof public <br />swimming pool and service building in Madison Park shall be in accord- <br />ance with said plans and specifications; shall state that the City may <br />accept or reject any or all bids, or parts thereof. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect and be in <br />force from and after the earliest period allowed by law. <br /> <br />Adopted: July 15. 1957 <br /> <br />Approved: July 16, 1957 <br /> <br />Thomas C.
