RESOLUTION NO. 3852 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. <br /> <br />Chockley, Fairgrieve, <br />Gaydos, Gottermeyer, <br />Lawther, Ward. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION commending Charles J. Donohue for his services as <br />Assistant Prosecutor. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS. Charles J. Donohue, a native of Niagara Falls, New <br />York, attended Niagara Falls High School and Niagara UniversitY, fr~m <br />which he graduated with the degree of Bachelor of Science cum laude, <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Thereafter he attended the University of Buffalo Law <br />School and Western Reserve Law School, from which latter institution <br />he received the degree of L.L.B. in 1958; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Thereafter Mr. Dcnohue began the practice of law in <br />the City of Cleveland, and effective March 1, 1952 began his service <br />as Assistant Prosecutor of the City of Lakewood; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, During his relatively short period of residence in <br />our city, he became vitally interested in its civic activities; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Donohue, together with his charming spouse Gloria, <br />are the proud parents of two fine sons; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Donohue,s fine family has served as an inspiration <br />to him in his quest for a more extensive private law practice; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Devotion to his clients and the successful advocacy <br />of their respective causes has brought him favorable renown in his law <br />practice and a demand upon his time to such a degree that he feels <br />that he can no longer continue to serve as Assistant Prosecutor in the <br />City of Lakewood; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, During his tenure in such office, he held thousands of <br />interviews with local citizens, has prosecuted violators with vigor and <br />diligence; has conducted himself in a manner befitting his position of <br />importance in our community; and has made his time and talent, at all <br />times, available to this law director; now, therefore be it <br /> <br /> RESOLVED, That in recognition of Mr. Donohue's status as an <br />examplary citizen of our community; an excellent public servant; de- <br />voted husband and loving father, this council express its heartfelt <br />thanks to Mr. Donohue for his years of service as Assistant Prosecutor~ <br />and wish him future success in the practice of law and hope that he <br />will retain his interest in the civic life of our community; and that <br />we adopt this resolution and cause a copy thereof to be spread upon <br />the minutes of this meeting and be it further, <br /> <br /> RESOLVED, That the clerk of council be and he is hereby di- <br />rected to transmit a duly authenticated copy of this resolution to Mr, <br />Charles J.
