RESOLUTION NO. 3960 BY: Messrs. <br /> <br />Chockley, Gaydos, <br />Gottermeyer, Huffman, <br />Lawther, Ward, <br />Williamson. <br /> <br /> ~I EMERGENCY RESOLUTION adopting rules of order of the <br />Council of the City of Lakewood, Ohio. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Article III, Section 5 of the Charter provides <br />that Council shall determine~its own rules and order of business, <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an emergency exists, in that, in order to comply <br />with the provisions of the Charter and to provide the Rules of Order <br />for the present Council, it is necessary to act forthwith, and in <br />that this resolution provides for the public welfare and the usual <br />daily operation of a municipal department, therefore, be it <br /> <br /> RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEW00D, STATE <br />0FOHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Sections 121.02 to 121.15, both inclUsive~ <br />of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, Ohio, are hereby <br />adopted as the Rules and Order of Business of this Council. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof, and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all mem- <br />bers elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force im- <br />mediately upon its adoption. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />January 4, 19.60 <br /> <br />Wilson Chockley~ <br /> President <br /> <br />H.
